Nothing left to take away!

Updated: Jan 29, 2019

A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add,

but when there is nothing left to take away.

Words by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Just when I was at my lowest after again another chemo cycle, I thought: "there is truly nothing left to take away from me". I had been stripped of all that was me. Strength, motivation, independence, dignity, initiative. Even creation had been taken away because the problem I have with the nerves in my fingers. (Yes, it takes loooooong to write this all up ...)

Then it came to me. This is it. Blank canvas. I can recreate anything I was, or, create something completely new. Or mix it all up. I'm done with Chemo. Time to get out of my (self-inflicted) isolation. Time to create.

There is nothing left to take away. I am perfect.
